Phone Sync

Your phone and your Omarchy desktop, in the same colours.

Pick a theme in Omarchy and Hyprtile follows, in the exact colours. Pick a theme in Hyprtile and Omarchy follows. It works over your own wifi, with nothing to install on the phone and no ports to open on the computer.

What you need

• Hyprtile 1.3 or newer on your phone.
• A computer running Omarchy, with the Phone Sync plugin.
• Both on the same wifi.

1. Add the plugin to Omarchy

Phone Sync is on its way to plugins.omarchy.org. Once it is listed, install it from there, or run this in a terminal:

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/Zanoshky/omarchy-phonesync.git --enable

If the phone icon is not on your bar yet, add "Phone Sync" from Setup, then Plugins.

2. Turn on link in Hyprtile

Hold an empty spot on the desktop to open the menu, then tap link devices and turn link on. The menu shows your phone's name and its address on the wifi. Leave it open for now.

3. Pair

1. On the computer, click the phone icon in the bar. Your phone shows up in the list. Click it.
2. Both screens now show a six digit code. Check that they match.
3. Say yes on both. That is it.

If the phone does not show up (some networks block finding devices), click Pair by address and type the address from the phone's link menu.

Using it

• Omarchy to phone. When you switch the Omarchy theme, Hyprtile takes the same colours. Themes Hyprtile already has, like Tokyo Night or Nord, use its own version. Any other theme is copied exactly and appears as "omarchy" plus its name in your themes.
• Phone to Omarchy. When you pick a theme in Hyprtile, Omarchy switches to the theme of the same name. If it has none, the plugin makes a full Omarchy theme from the phone's colours, with a matching 4K background.
• Newest wins. If you change the theme on one side while the other is away, the newer pick wins when they meet again.
• Right now. A middle click on the bar icon sends the current Omarchy theme to the phone at once.

Privacy

Everything goes straight between your phone and your computer on your own network. Only the theme name and colours are sent, only to devices you paired, and each message is signed with a key only they share. Nothing reaches the internet or us. The privacy policy has the details.

To stop

Turn link off on the phone, or forget the device in the link menu on either side.
